Special Note about the Safety & Security of WHHS
In the event of a threat to West Haven High School, the school administration will work closely with the Superintendent of Schools and the West Haven Police Department to assess the credibility of the threat and to assure that the school and its campus are safe for students and staff. Each instance will be analyzed and dealt with according to the information received, placing the safety and security of all students and staff as our utmost priority.
Parents will be notified of this information through our automated phone/email system and with updates on the WHHS website.
Special Note to Parents About Early Dismissals
Re: Dismissal procedure for illness/injury
If a student is being dismissed due to illness/injury the student must be dismissed from the nurses office. This procedure protects student safety and serves as a record for the nurse.
